Not as expected
Jan 26, 2022I bought this to scan through a plastic computer case because another review said it scanned through plexiglass. This did not work for that purpose for me which was why I purchased it. Also, it's not very sensitive. You have to hold it just right for it to scan the barcodes even on books.

Nov 10, 2020It works great! Responds just as I'd hoped. Our students now can scan in and out their own books behind plexiglass for another added layer of protection. I had them come to me before which did not offer that barrier between my students and myself.

Nov 5, 2020I bought these scanners with high hopes! Unfortunately, they don't seem compatible with our barcodes or ILS (Biblionix). They work about 65% of the time. The other 35%, they don't pick up the barcodes.

Mar 8, 2020The Heron is a great Bar Code scanner. It is the best scanner I have had in my library. The students love checkout time because they want to watch the scanner change color! Everyone at customer service was so friendly and helpful throughout this process.
