The contemporary, sleek design of Atlantis™ Shelving with its low profile, narrower cornice offers easier access to books on top shelves and adds additional space between shelves. Narrow, 1-3/8 in. H top fillers are anchored by L-shaped, 18-gauge, reinforcing steel braces for added strength. Elegant, oak veneer shelving features a smooth, lustrous finish that protects against UV discoloration. All surfaces are hand-sanded with 150-grit sand paper, sealed with a rich wood stain, and finished with a top coat of clear, catalyzed lacquer for an extremely hard and durable finish.
End panels and center panels are crafted from 1 in. thick, rift-cut, northern red oak veneer over a 9-ply core. Solid oak, 3/4 in. thick shelves offer extra strength and rigidity, supporting up to 150 lbs. Shelves are 12 in. D and adjust in 1-1/4 in. increments on collared shelf pins. Each shelving unit includes a 1/4 in. thick plywood back at no additional cost that is fully-captured on top, bottom and sides and adds overall structural integrity. Choose single-face units for rows that will be anchored against a wall or double-face units for freestanding rows.
Starter units measure 37-1/8 in. W and include 2 upright end panels. Adder units measure 36-1/8 in. W and include only 1 center upright panel. To create a row of shelving, select one starter and the desired number of adder units. The second upright end panel of a starter unit is used to enclose the last adder in a row.

Please note that in 2016 TLS™ made a New and Improved Design change to the Atlantis™ Shelving. Any order placed on or after October 1, 2015 will not attach to the older Atlantis™ Shelving.
