Books falling over
Jun 25, 2021This product is fine for smaller, lighter books but if you have larger heavier ones these will fall right over. They don't hold up the books in our preschool library

Great without the holders
Aug 8, 2016I purchased these to use as dividers and label holders. I placed a divider at the beginning of each Dewey Decimal section, and I made labels to identify the section and give ideas of what to find in it to make searching easier for the students. The book supports (dividers) sit on the very edge of the shelf, which makes them very easy to see.
They don't seem like they would do very well to hold a lot of weight. The clip that goes under the shelf isn't very wide (which would have added vertical stability), and the plastic seems a little flimsy. For my purposes, they're absolutely great. If I need to hold up the weight of books, I pair this book divider with a metal book end that can slip underneath and not be seen.
I also purchased a few sets of the flat label holders to hold the Dewey Decimal labels that I made. I'm very disappointed, because they're textured, and it makes it difficult to see the labels clearly. It's like trying to read something through foggy glass.
It would have been better if I had just laminated my labels, and affixed them to the dividers with book tape.
