Very pleased

Overall, I am very pleased with this item. It is very attractive, and I was lucky that there was a wood tone that perfectly matched what already existed in our library. It is taller than I anticipated based on the pictures, but that does not detract from my opinion. I chose this item mainly because I wanted something mobile. It rolls very easily, even on carpet. The cushion on the inside is a real blessing as well. When it arrived, the lock did not work and we couldn't open it, but customer services was very helpful and the issue was resolved very quickly. I have noticed that when the spring inside is forced down, if the weight is not evenly distributed the board can get stuck and it doesn't pop up on its own. I have to give it a bit of a tap to get it to raise back up. This happens pretty rarely since I empty the drop twice a day, but if you have a large volume of returns this might be a persistent problem. With my older book return, there was such a large gap around the edges that books frequently slipped through the cracks and got lost inside. I'd rather have the board get stuck than lose books!
