Nice book truck but REALLY hard to assemble
Review star icon Review star icon Review star icon Review star icon Review star icon May 28, 2024
These are nice sturdy all metal book trucks at a very reasonable price point. The one I have completely assembled is very nice. I hadn't realized how wide the shelves are--very nice for oversized books. The shelves are very slightly slanted. Overall seems very durable and sturdy. The one downside is these book trucks are incredibly hard to assemble. The instructions are pretty simple and the assembly seems very straightforward, but there are many tight areas that are hard to access and easily maneuver a screwdriver and every single screw is physically hard to get screwed all of the way in. Attaching the back of the shelf is particularly challenging if you are assembling this book truck solo as there are three parts that have to be attached with a single, hard to install, screw. You definitely need a large Philips screwdriver, a heavy duty pair of gloves and the patience and upper body strength to power through screwing in all 42 screws to get this job done. Because of the physical difficulty involved assembling one of these carts took me close to two hours. Would I recommend these--based on the quality alone if someone besides me is assembling it--yes. Would I buy another one, knowing how hard it was to assemble and I was going to have to put together another one, maybe. Taking one star for the difficulty in assembling it.
