Archival Book Repair Kit

I was very disappointed in the repair kit. Items were stuck to a paper insert with sticky stuff and it was very difficult to remove the items from insert. The glue container needed to be cleaned with alcohol to remove the sticky stuff. The bone was stained in 2 places by the sticky stuff and it also has a splinter broken off on the edge. The roll of book repair tape seems old since the backing is peeling off from the tape without trying to remove it. I had purchased the kit since it seemed a better price than buying the individual items.

The glue was solid and I'm shaking it vigorously, I have barely made a dent in mixing it. The label on the glue appears to be decently old. Other than that the kit was great in repairing my moms decades old book

Your repair kit was a big disappointment. I could not get the repair tape to stick (maybe I just don't know how to use it; is a backing supposed to come off? If so, how does it work; I know moistening it does no good). Also, the tube of repair glue is dried into a useless lump. As things stand, I have wasted my money.
