Catalina came from a large litter, and from this litter, half of the kittens shared Catalina calico coloring. All of these similar siblings were female, due to the fact that the genetic process that causes the calico coloring also results in an average of only 1 in 3,000 calico cats to be born male! Catalina's an independent cat, and considers herself to be the queen of the house, which as she sees it, she should be!
